This social experiment by Team Immortal Dreamz on the India’s Independence Day campaign is hilarious and depressing at the same time. The purpose of this video is only to create awareness and there is no intention of hurting anyone’s sentiments.

Many people could not answer the question about the Indian flag and the emblem(symbol) of India. Here are the answers to the basic GK questions about India.

The emblem of India is an adaptation of the Lion Capital of Ashoka at Sarnath, preserved in the Sarnath Museum, India.

The Indian National flag is a horizontal tricolor of deep saffron (kesari) at the top, white in the middle and dark green at the bottom in equal proportion. At the center of white band is the navy blue wheel that represents (Ashoka) chakra and has 24 spokes. The upper saffron part of the flag represents courage, sacrifice and selflessness. The white stripe in the middle of the flag is the representative of honesty, purity and peace and the green stipe on the bottom of the flag represents faith, fertility and prosperity.

National Song – Vande Mataram (composed by Bankimchandra Chatterji).
